Who are BETDAQ?

BETDAQ started at a similar time to Betfair, however it clearly lost the first battle, as Betfair became a household name and was credited with pioneering the Betting Exchange industry. However, in spite of Betfair's dominance of market share, BETDAQ have never given in, and their lower commission offerings than Betfair has seen them claw back some of the market in recent times.

Why choose BETDAQ?

For all the same reasons as Betfair - but the commissions are currently cheaper!

BETDAQ - History

Launched in 2000, the same year as Betfair, by Dermot Desmond whose other interests include Glasgow Celtic football club. Betfair originally raced ahead of Betdaq by offering a better platform and also better marketing meaning Betfair was a household name whereas Betdaq wasn't.

In November 2005, William Hill began to hedge its racecourse betting on exchanges and chose Betdaq as preferred exchange. This led to speculation that one of the big Book making firms would look to acquire Betdaq to gain access to the betting exchange market.
